Pont-de-Salars Easter Car Boot Sale

On Sunday, April 20, 2025, Easter Day, the Pont-de-Salars village hall hosted its grand Easter car boot sale, an event that has become an anticipated meeting for bargain hunters from Lévézou and Aveyron. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., private sellers offered visitors a wide variety of items: crockery, books, comics, clothing, toys, DIY tools, and decorative trinkets filled the stalls set up in the hall and in the outdoor areas.

The indoor format, characteristic of this Easter car boot sale distinct from the outdoor car boot sale held later in the month, allowed participants to hunt for treasures in comfortable conditions, sheltered from the typical early spring morning chill of the Lévézou plateau. Large families during the school holidays contributed to the lively atmosphere of this festive day.

Pont-de-Salars, a village of 1,630 inhabitants situated on the edge of its lake on the Lévézou plateau, offered a remarkable natural setting for this Easter day. The success of this edition confirms the interest of the local population in this annual event that marks the beginning of the car boot sale season in Aveyron.
