Each year in June, the Délégation Territoriale de la Corse du Sud de la Croix-Rouge française organizes its big car boot sale on Place Miot in Ajaccio. This charity event brings together dozens of private sellers who come to clear out their attics for the benefit of the Red Cross's humanitarian and social missions.

A popular and solidarity-driven event

The Vide-grenier Croix-Rouge in Ajaccio is one of the most popular solidarity events in the Corsican capital. By reserving a pitch for €15 for 3 linear meters, each participant directly contributes to the funding of the South Corsica delegation's field activities: food aid, support for people in difficulty, first aid training, and assistance for vulnerable populations.

Place Miot, the ideal setting for a large gathering

Place Miot is one of the largest and most accessible squares in Ajaccio. Located in the heart of the city, it can accommodate a large number of stalls and attract a large crowd from all over the imperial city. The animation of this vast esplanade, from dawn until mid-afternoon, creates a visible and unifying event.

A festive car boot sale day

The car boot sale generally opens at 7 am and ends around 3 pm, offering a long day of browsing and bargain hunting. Clothes of all sizes, toys, books, dishes, small appliances, decorative items, and all sorts of second-hand goods fill the stalls, much to the delight of visitors and buyers. Entry is free for visitors.

Individuals wishing to set up a stall can contact the Délégation Territoriale de la Corse du Sud of the French Red Cross to reserve their pitch. The usual rate is €15 for 3 linear meters, payable before the event. As spaces are limited, it is advisable to register well in advance.
