Nestled at the foot of the Sainte-Baume massif, Signes is a Provençal village with intact charm: narrow lanes, shaded squares, murmuring fountains and stone houses. In this enchanting setting, the Festival Committee holds its annual spring flea market, a highlight of Signes community life.
What you'll find
Vendors, mostly private sellers from the village and nearby, lay out everyday items: Provençal crockery, books, toys, clothing, trinkets, household linen, small furniture, baby gear, tools and garden equipment. The village character guarantees genuine displays, often witnessing several generations of Provençal life.
A committed festival committee

An open-air day
From 8am to 5pm, visitors wander the village lanes, enjoying the plane-tree shade and early-morning coolness. The committee's stand serves coffee, cold drinks, crêpes and homemade pastries. Village cafés and restaurants open for lunch.

Signes stands at the gate of the Sainte-Baume, a mythical massif between the Var and Bouches-du-Rhône, known for its beech forests, holy grotto and panoramic views. After browsing, visitors can explore the Sainte-Baume abbey, climb the ridges or tour nearby Provence verte vineyards.
