Every July, the association of firefighters of Plaisance organizes its summer car boot sale on the Place de l'Église and in the streets of the town center of this Gascon bastide. This popular event is one of the highlights of the summer in Plaisance-du-Gers, attracting bargain hunters and families from all over the Armagnac-Adour region.

A car boot sale in the heart of the bastide

The Place de l'Église Immaculée-Conception and the Rue de la Fontaine offer a picturesque setting for this car boot sale. The exhibitors - exclusively individuals - set up their stalls of clothing, toys, books, trinkets, crockery, small furniture, and various objects. The shade of the plane trees and the buildings of the bastide protect visitors and exhibitors from the July sun.

For the benefit of the firefighters' association

The profits from the refreshment stand and catering are entirely donated to the association of firefighters of Plaisance. The firefighters offer sandwiches, grills, and cold drinks, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
