The Louvois / Le Village district encompasses the oldest part of Vélizy-Villacoublay, around the historic center. It is in this memory-laden area, where the former village of Vélizy gave birth to the modern town, that one of the six city flea markets is held every May. Reserved for district residents, it perpetuates a village tradition that makes the charm of this preserved corner of the town.

Six flea markets, one per district

Vélizy-Villacoublay's policy on flea markets is particularly original. Rather than organizing a single major annual event, the City has chosen to distribute six flea markets across all its districts, from May to September. This format allows each sector to benefit from its own local gathering.

A neighborhood gathering

The format reserved for residents is a deliberate choice: it favors the community and local dimension of the event. Stalls are run by Vélizy residents themselves, offering the items they wish to part with.

Vélizy-Villacoublay, a blend of history and modernity

With around 22,000 inhabitants, Vélizy-Villacoublay is one of the most dynamic towns in the Yvelines. While known for its Vélizy 2 shopping center and aerospace and technology hubs, it also preserves an older heritage, particularly around the Louvois / Le Village district.
