The 2025 edition of the Barbentane Car Boot Sale was held on Sunday, May 18th in the Place du Marché, organized by the APE Les Moulins. In this Provençal village nestled at the confluence of the Rhône and the Durance, dominated by the 14th-century Anglica Tower, bargain hunters and sellers gathered from 8 AM for a friendly day of good deals for the benefit of the pupils of the Les Moulins school.
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the Place du Marché in Barbentane hosted the traditional car boot sale organized by the APE Les Moulins, the village school's parents' association. From 8 AM, the stands of private sellers were set up in the shaded square, offering visitors a wide variety of items: crockery and ceramics, books and comics, clothing for the whole family, toys, decorative knick-knacks, and small furniture.
Barbentane, a village of nearly 4,000 inhabitants located between Avignon and Montagnette, offered an exceptional heritage setting for this day of treasure hunting. The Anglica Tower, an imposing 28-meter keep built in 1365, watched over the stalls while the alleys of the old village invited strolls between finds. All profits from the event were donated to support the school activities and educational outings for the pupils.
In a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, typical of Provençal car boot sales, residents of Barbentane and bargain hunters from neighboring towns shared the pleasure of hunting for treasures and bargaining. The event confirms its place in the calendar of flea markets in the Bouches-du-Rhône and looks forward to seeing enthusiasts again for the 2026 edition.
