The Jules Ferry School Car Boot Sale

Every year, the Jules Ferry School Association mobilises parents and residents of Bron to organise a popular car boot sale. On Sunday 26 April 2026, individual sellers and families gather to offer and discover bargains: children's and adult clothing, toys, books, ornaments and all kinds of everyday objects. Proceeds raised go directly towards funding educational projects and school trips for pupils at Jules Ferry school.

Bron, an inner suburb on the eastern edge of Lyon

Bron is a commune within the Métropole de Lyon, directly adjacent to the city on its eastern side. It is particularly known for having hosted the Lyon-Bron airport for many decades — the region's first aerodrome before the opening of Lyon-Saint-Exupéry — whose former runway plain remains a vast landscaped area today. A modern and diverse city, Bron is home to Lumière Lyon 2 University on its Bron campus, as well as a very active associative and school life that expresses itself each spring through events such as this car boot sale.
