The APEL ECM Garage Sale: Solidarity and Conviviality in Chanteloup

Every year, the Parents' Association (APEL) of the Catholic School of Moncoutant organizes a garage sale in Chanteloup, a neighboring commune of Moncoutant-sur-Sèvre in northern Deux-Sèvres. This community event aims to fund educational projects and school trips while offering residents a convivial day of bargain hunting.

A Family Event in the Bressuire Bocage

The APEL ECM garage sale is above all a family event. Exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer a wide range of second-hand items: children's and adult clothing, toys, books, small furniture, dishes, ornaments and decorative objects. The relaxed atmosphere and human scale of the event make it a popular gathering for families who come to browse peacefully while enjoying the fresh country air.

Chanteloup, a Village in the Deux-Sèvres Bocage

Chanteloup is a small rural commune located near Moncoutant-sur-Sèvre, in the canton of Bressuire. Perched at about 220 meters altitude, the commune offers a green and hilly setting characteristic of the Bressuire bocage, on the borders of Deux-Sèvres and Vendée.

The Catholic School of Moncoutant

The ECM brings together a private school and college serving families in the Moncoutant-sur-Sèvre area. The APEL, a volunteer parents' association, undertakes numerous initiatives throughout the year to support the school's educational projects. The garage sale is one of the highlights of this community involvement.

The APEL ECM garage sale takes place on April 26, 2026 in Chanteloup (79320). Free admission for visitors. Refreshments and light catering are provided by association volunteers.
