Thanville is a small Alsatian village of about 500 inhabitants, nestled in the Val de Ville at the foot of the Ungersberg massif. Its vineyard, cultivated on the sunny hillsides overlooking the valley, produces renowned Alsace wines, notably Rieslings, Sylvaners and Pinots. The village preserves a charming rural heritage with its half-timbered houses, its 18th-century church and its Thanville castle, a Renaissance building remodelled in the 19th century. The bucolic setting, between vines and Vosges forests, offers a privileged setting for this great spring bargain hunting day.
Exhibitors can set up from 6am and dismantle until 6pm. Pitch fees are EUR 10 for 5 linear metres and EUR 18 for 10 metres, a moderate rate that allows many private individuals and brocanteurs to participate. Entry is entirely free for visitors. On-site catering (refreshments, flammekueche, Alsatian specialities) is generally offered by local associations participating in the organisation of the event. The Thanville flea market is a great opportunity to discover this little-known village of Val de Ville while hunting for bargains at affordable prices.
