16th flea market by FC Ebersmunster in the shadow of the famous baroque abbey church
The 16th FC Ebersmunster flea market takes place on August 15th in this village famous for its baroque Saint-Maurice abbey church, an architectural gem from the 18th century. Organized by the local Football Club, this summer event takes advantage of the August 15th holiday to bring together bargain hunters and strollers in an exceptional heritage setting between SΓ©lestat and Benfeld. Proceeds support the village football club.
Ebersmunster is world-renowned for its baroque Saint-Maurice abbey church, recognizable by its three onion domes covered in green glazed tiles. This 18th-century masterpiece, built by Austrian architect Peter Thumb, houses a Silbermann organ classified as a historic monument.
For its 16th edition, the FC Ebersmunster flea market fills the village streets on August 15th. Dealers and individuals offer furniture, crockery, ornaments and collectibles in a festive atmosphere. The club's refreshment stand and catering complete this day where heritage and treasure hunting go hand in hand.
