Monthly brocante under Longeville-sur-Mer's halles
One of the Vendée coast's recurring favourites. Run by Longeville Accueil. Five 2026 dates: 3 May, 21 June, 5 July, 16 August, 6 September. Monthly rhythm covers the tourist season — for permanents, second-home owners and holidaymakers.
Ideal setting: covered (vital in rain or summer heat), moderate size (convivial), heart of the resort. Sellers protected, visitors stroll freely. Among the nicest formats to chine on the coast.
Vendée resort of nearly 2,500 year-round (many more in summer), south of Les Sables on the Côte de Lumière. Famed for vast wild beaches (Conches, Rocher) flanked by the Longeville state forest (5,800 ha) — one of Vendée's largest pinewoods.
Keeps authentic character despite tourism: rural inland, family resort on coast, combining atmospheres without uniformity. The village kept its halles, church, local shops.
Local association animating the commune year-round. The monthly brocante is a flagship, keeping the centre alive and drawing visitors Vendée-wide.
Wild Conches beaches, state forest walk or cycle. Jard-sur-Mer port 10 min, Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard (Clémenceau house) 15 min. WWII bunker remains dot the coast.
