About Puces de Bourbonnoux

Les Puces de Bourbonnoux, organized by the Bourbonnoux neighborhood association with the support of the street's merchants, is held annually at the end of May in the famous Bourbonnoux street and on Place Louis Lacombe, in the heart of Bourges' historic center. This traditional flea market and car boot sale takes over one of France's most beautiful medieval streets, lined with half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries. From 8 am to 8 pm, bargain hunters stroll among the stalls in an exceptional setting. Refreshments and food available on site.

Les Puces de Bourbonnoux: Bargain hunting in the heart of medieval Bourges

Rue Bourbonnoux is the most emblematic medieval street in Bourges. Nearly 500 meters long, it connects Place Gordaine to Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lined with half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries, artisan shops, and restaurants, it provides a unique setting for this annual flea market, which has become a spring tradition in Bourges.

An increasingly traditional event

The Bourbonnoux neighborhood association, with the active support of the street's merchants, organizes Les Puces de Bourbonnoux every year. This event combines a flea market, car boot sale, and neighborhood activities. Stalls are set up along the pedestrian street and spill over onto Place Louis Lacombe, a small shaded square that offers additional space for exhibitors and visitors.

Bourges, a city of art and history

Visitors to Les Puces de Bourbonnoux can enjoy an exceptional heritage setting. Looking up from the stalls, they can admire the sculpted facades, overhangs, and old signs that give this medieval street its charm. A short walk away, Saint-Étienne Cathedral, the Jacques-Cœur Palace, and the alleys of old Bourges complete a remarkable cultural tour. Les Puces are also an opportunity to discover the street's artisan shops and restaurants.

Practical Information

The event takes place on a Saturday in late May, from 8 am to 8 pm. Admission is free. For reservations and information, contact 07 71 56 33 64.
