The largest car boot sale in Artois on the Grand'Place d'Arras
Les Puces à Bidasse is one of the highlights of the Arras summer. This large popular flea market takes over the Grand'Place, Place des Héros, and the adjacent streets of the historic center every year. More than 300 exhibitors—individuals and professionals—offer antique furniture, trinkets, vinyl records, vintage clothing, books, toys, and collectibles.
It's hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for a flea market: the 155 baroque facades of the Grand'Place d'Arras, a UNESCO World Heritage site, provide a spectacular backdrop for the exhibitors' stalls. The arcades surrounding the square allow for bargain hunting protected from the weather, while the terraces of cafes and restaurants welcome shoppers looking for a break.
Beyond the flea market, Les Puces à Bidasse is a true popular festival. Musical entertainment, refreshment stands, on-site catering: the atmosphere is one of conviviality. The name "Bidasse," a nod to military slang for a soldier, recalls Arras's garrison past. The event brings together families, seasoned collectors, and Sunday strollers in a good-natured atmosphere.
