May 1st car boot sale organized by the Club Taurin Louzilhan in Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan
Every May 1st, the Club Taurin Louzilhan of Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan livens up the village with its festive car boot sale titled "Le vide grenier fait sa foire". This event, which combines the spirit of a classic car boot sale with the taurine tradition of the Gard, takes place on Avenue Paul Blisson, in this beautiful village in the canton of Remoulins, a few kilometers from the Pont du Gard.
The Club Taurin Louzilhan is an association deeply rooted in the life of Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan. Like many taurine clubs in villages in the Gard and Hérault regions, it organizes festive events throughout the year to liven up the village and perpetuate local taurine culture. May 1st is its major spring gathering, where car boot sales and conviviality come together in a spirit of popular celebration.
The car boot sale welcomes visitors from 8 am to 5 pm. Exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer clothing, furniture, trinkets, books, toys, and various objects. Stall fees are €10 for a 4-meter pitch, and €5 for each additional 2-meter section. The event is open to all, and admission is free for visitors.
Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan (30210) is a village of about 1,000 inhabitants, located in the Gard department, within the Pont du Gard community of communes. A few minutes from the famous Roman aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this village offers a preserved living environment, between scrubland and vineyards. The Club Taurin Louzilhan, reachable at [email protected], actively contributes to local community life.
