Summer car boot sale at Champ des Pommiers, under the apple trees of the Ubaye valley
The Jausiers traders' association organizes a seasonal car boot sale at Champ des Pommiers, Place Emile Aillaud in Jausiers. This village in the Ubaye valley, at the foot of the Col de la Bonette, offers an exceptional mountain setting for this open-air summer hunt.
The Champ des Pommiers is a green space shaded by old apple trees, offering a unique bucolic setting for a car boot sale. Stalls are set up on the grass, under the branches laden with fruit in late summer. 20 to 30 non-professional sellers participate in each event.
Jausiers is located in the Ubaye valley, one of the most isolated and preserved valleys in the French Alps. Between Barcelonnette and the Col de la Bonette, Europe's highest road, the village attracts hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. The car boot sale benefits from this summer traffic to offer its finds.
The car boot sale is held several times a month in summer (July and August), offering tourists and locals a regular event. Entry is free and booking is done by SMS.
The Jausiers flea market returns in summer 2026 to the Champ des Pommiers (avenue des Mexicains), in the Ubaye valley. Organized bi-monthly in July and August, it takes place on several Sundays of the summer season, from 9 am to 4 pm/5 pm depending on the weather.
Five dates are announced for 2026: Sundays July 5 and 19, then August 2, 16, and 30. The event brings together between 15 and 30 non-professional exhibitors and is an unmissable summer event for bargain hunters.
