The Illfurth Street Festival, a Sundgau highlight

Every year on Ascension Thursday, the village of Illfurth transforms into a large open-air car boot sale. The Illfurth Street Festival, organised by AMSL Illfurth, fills the lanes and squares of the village with stalls and bargain hunters. In 2026, the event celebrates its 15th edition, a testament to the loyalty of locals and visitors from across the Sundgau region.

A free car boot sale in the heart of the village

Entry is entirely free for visitors. Private sellers and amateur dealers offer a wide variety of items: clothing, toys, books, tableware, furniture, knick-knacks, tools and all the charm of a French car boot sale.

Illfurth and the Sundgau

Illfurth is a village of approximately 2,500 inhabitants in the Sundgau, a land of hills and ponds in the south of Haut-Rhin, some fifteen kilometres south of Mulhouse.
