An extended weekend of treasure hunting in Europe's antique capital
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue ranks alongside London and Saint-Ouen among the top antique markets in Europe. The town permanently hosts over 300 dealers spread across a dozen antique villages, and attracts hunters from around the world, particularly during the Easter and 15 August international fairs. Between these peaks, the May brocante stands out as a more intimate yet high-quality gathering, perfect for relaxed browsing.
For two days, avenue des 4 Otages and the nearby streets fill with stalls. This May event blends professional brocante and private vide-grenier in a distinctly Provençal atmosphere, alongside the murmur of the canals and the waterwheels.
18th and 19th century furniture, Moustiers and Apt faience, Biot glassware, Provençal linen, lighting, paintings, trinkets, antique jewellery, books, postcards, vinyl records, toys, vintage clothing.
