Grand Flea Market of May 1st in Val-de-Reuil, 150 exhibitors in the new town of Eure
The Grande Foire à tout du 1er Mai de Val-de-Reuil is a traditional event for the public holiday in Eure. Every May 1st, around 150 exhibitors take over the town's spaces to offer furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, books, and all sorts of flea market items. This outdoor sale attracts bargain hunters from all over the Eure department and the surroundings of Rouen.
Val-de-Reuil is a new town founded in the 1970s, nestled in the Seine loop between Louviers and Pont-de-l'Arche. Built on the heights overlooking the Seine, this town in Eure boasts contemporary architecture and numerous green spaces. Well served by the A13 motorway and the Paris-Rouen railway line, it is easily accessible from the Norman capital and the Île-de-France region.
Taking advantage of May 1st to hunt for bargains is a well-established tradition in Normandy. The Val-de-Reuil flea market is part of this tradition, offering a great day of open-air flea market with 150 exhibitors offering flea market items, furniture, tableware, clothing, and various curiosities. The relaxed atmosphere of the public holiday favors good deals and encounters between bargain hunters.
As with most popular flea markets in Normandy, entry is free for visitors. A refreshment stand and food stalls allow you to spend a full day on site in a festive atmosphere.
From Rouen, take the A13 towards Paris, exit Val-de-Reuil (approx. 25 minutes). From Paris, take the A13 towards Rouen (approx. 1h30).
