Livernon (46320) is a village in the Causse de Gramat, in the Lot, near Figeac and the Saint-Céré region. This typical limestone plateau of Quercy, dotted with dolmens, natural ponds (the "lavognes") and abandoned sheepfolds, offers a unique natural setting. Every summer, the large flea market and car boot sale of Livernon brings together exhibitors and visitors for a great day of treasure hunting, organized by the association Lo Peyro Lebado.
The large flea market of Livernon is held in the park of the village hall, a fully shaded area adjacent to the village's multi-purpose hall. This green and cool setting is particularly pleasant in the middle of summer, when the causse heats up under the sun. Exhibitors – private and professional – set up their stalls in the shade of the trees, offering their goods on carefully prepared displays. You can find antique furniture, country tableware, books, tools, clothes, toys, and all sorts of small flea market items.
The association Lo Peyro Lebado (whose name means "the standing stone" in Occitan, referring to the megaliths of the causse) is the historic organizer of the Livernon flea market. Furthermore, the Figeac-Livernon ULM club, which uses the local airfield, also organizes car boot sales in the village, a sign of an active associative fabric. The village of Livernon is thus one of those small villages in the Lot that maintain a remarkable cultural and associative life despite a modest population.
The Causse de Gramat is one of the four great causses of Quercy. A seemingly arid limestone plateau, it reveals a wild and preserved nature to the attentive walker: pubescent oaks, boxwood, junipers, wild orchids, and especially the lavognes – these circular ponds waterproofed by shepherds to water their flocks. The dolmens of the causse bear witness to ancient prehistoric occupation. A territory to be discovered on foot or by bike after the flea market.
The large flea market of Livernon is generally held in August, in the park of the village hall, 46320 Livernon. Free entry for visitors. Catering on site. Organized by the association Lo Peyro Lebado.
The Grande Brocante de Livernon returns in summer 2026, at the park of the village hall. Lo Peyro Lebado, private and professional exhibitors, shaded setting, free entry, on-site catering. Causse de Gramat, Lot.
