Annual grand flea market in the streets of Aire-sur-la-Lys with 135 exhibitors
Each summer, the streets of Aire-sur-la-Lys are transformed into a vast open-air market. The 135 exhibitors—professionals and individuals—offer an impressive range of items: Artois farm furniture, Northern earthenware, old books, vinyl records, and trinkets from all eras. The friendly atmosphere of this small Flemish town, its gabled houses, and its baroque Grand'Place give the event incomparable charm.
Once a stronghold of the Spanish Netherlands, Aire-sur-la-Lys preserves exceptional architectural heritage: a belfry listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Saint-Pierre collegiate church, and a Renaissance bailiwick. Strolling among the flea market stalls is also an opportunity to rediscover this gem of the Pas-de-Calais.
