Grand annual street sale in the streets of downtown Saint-Quentin
Every first weekend of September, the City of Saint-Quentin organizes its Grande Braderie in the streets of downtown and rue d'Isle. This large-scale commercial event transforms the heart of the Aisne prefecture into a huge open-air market, attracting thousands of visitors from 8 am to 6 pm.
The Saint-Quentin braderie combines several worlds: downtown merchants offer exceptional discounts on their products, while external exhibitors set up their stalls in the pedestrian streets. You can find clothing, accessories, food products, decorative items, and various objects. Downtown restaurants participate in the event with special menus, including the traditional moules-frites.
Saint-Quentin is the most populous city in Aisne, with its imposing basilica, its Art Deco town hall, and its Flemish-style facades. The braderie takes advantage of the remarkable architecture of the city center, a classified protected area, to offer a pleasant strolling environment for visitors. The Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville, the pedestrian streets, and the Faubourg d'Isle form the main route of the braderie.
The City of Saint-Quentin and Saint-Quentinois Tourisme coordinate the organization of the event. As parking is limited in the city center, shuttle buses are provided from peripheral parking lots. Exhibitor registration is managed by the city's event department.
