Grand car boot sale of the fishing association on the Bellecourt esplanade in Bessières
Each year in June, the Approved Association for Fishing and the Protection of the Aquatic Environment (AAPPMA) of Bessières organizes its grand car boot sale on the Bellecourt esplanade. This event, which brings together up to 200 exhibitors, is one of the main antique hunting events in the Tarn valley north of Toulouse.
The Bellecourt esplanade offers a vast outdoor space perfectly suited to accommodate the 200 pitches offered to exhibitors. The fee of 15 euros for 5 linear meters remains attractive, and setup begins at 6:30 am for opening to visitors at 8 am. The event continues until 7 pm, offering a long day of antique hunting for second-hand object enthusiasts.
The profits from the car boot sale are donated to the AAPPMA of Bessières, which works to protect the aquatic environment and promote fishing on the Tarn and its tributaries. By participating in this event, exhibitors and visitors support the preservation of local waterways and the fishing initiation activities offered by the association.
Located about twenty kilometers north of Toulouse on the banks of the Tarn, Bessières is known for its giant croustade prepared each year during the Easter festival. This dynamic town in the Tarn valley benefits from a preserved natural setting, between agricultural plains and wooded banks, making it a popular spot for fishermen and nature lovers. The Bellecourt esplanade, in the town center, is the preferred gathering place for local events.
