Every Sunday morning, the vast parking lot of the Grand V La Valentine shopping center, located on avenue des Peintres Roux in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille, hosts an outdoor car boot sale bringing together up to 150 sellers. From 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., private sellers and bargain hunters meet in a friendly atmosphere to sell and find second-hand items, clothes, trinkets, books, tableware, and toys.

A neighborhood between tradition and modernity

La Valentine is a historic district in the 11th arrondissement, its name dating back to the 15th century when Jean Valentin acquired a country house there. Once a rural village on the right bank of the Huveaune, the district was transformed in the second half of the 20th century with the establishment of large commercial areas. The Grand V shopping center, opened in the 1970s by the Casino group, is part of this major commercial hub in eastern Marseille, easily accessible from exit 4a of the A50 motorway.

Information for Sellers

Spaces are reserved exclusively by SMS, indicating name and location. The price is 25 euros per car (two parking spaces, approximately 5 meters) or 35 euros for a van. Only private individuals are accepted: professional traders, new merchandise, and food are prohibited. Each seller receives a reservation number to present at the entrance. Setup is done directly from the vehicle with mandatory tables, and everyone must leave their spot clean.
