Grand car boot sale of Ascension organized by the Roquefort Festival Committee
Every year on the Ascension weekend, the Roquefort Festival Committee hosts bargain hunters and sellers at Le Placié, the heart of the village of Roquefort (47310). Between 100 and 200 private sellers set up from the morning to offer clothes, books, toys, tableware, tools, and a thousand everyday items at unbeatable prices. Opening is at 8 am, with early access for sellers wishing to set up peacefully.
The rule is clear and appreciated by visitors: no professionals or resellers are allowed. Only private individuals can exhibit, ensuring an authentic atmosphere and genuine finds. Sellers pay a modest fee to the Festival Committee for their spot. The refreshment stand and snack bar on site offer a gourmet break between stands.
The Roquefort Festival Committee is one of the driving forces behind local events. Reachable by phone or email, it manages seller registrations and ensures the smooth running of the day. High demand usually requires closing registrations well before the event - it's best to contact the committee quickly to reserve your spot. The event is held outdoors, weather permitting.
Roquefort (47310) is a small village in the Lot-et-Garonne region, nestled in the hills between the Garonne valley and the Marmandais hillsides. Its fruit farming, Romanesque church, and green landscapes make it an endearing village. The Ascension car boot sale is one of the major highlights of community life, bringing together residents and visitors for a day of conviviality and rural flea market.
