Challans is a dynamic town of about 22,000 in northern Vendée, 20 km from the coast and Pays de Monts. Historic capital of the "Pays de Challans" (former Breton-Vendée marsh), internationally known for its label-quality duck and its famous Tuesday market, one of Vendée's most renowned.

The Grand Flea Market by the Challans Festival Committee is a major summer rendezvous for northern Vendée hunters. 2026 edition Sunday 7 June 2026, 9am-5:30pm, at Les Prairies behind the Louis Claude Roux Halls. With up to 300 exhibitors, among the biggest flea markets of the area.

Spacious setting

Les Prairies behind the Halls offer ideal conditions: vast open space, near the centre, parking nearby. 300 exhibitors can deploy in good conditions. Open format lets visitors compare and circulate easily.

Challans, history and food

Beyond the market, stop for heritage and gastronomy. The Tuesday market is a show: marsh producers, Challans duck, local produce, wines. Don't miss the "Quatre Jeudis" summer events where locals dress in period costume. Town hall, 19th-century houses, Notre-Dame church, and the Vendée-Breton marsh round out the picture.

€4/linear metre, minimum 2 metres. Vehicles behind stand from 5 metres (depending on length). Booking mandatory via HelloAsso or email to Festival Committee. Open to all: private sellers and occasional resellers.

Arrive at 9am for best finds; comfy shoes (lots of walking); small cash; bag or trolley; don't miss a Challans duck on a centre terrace.
