Every end of August, the town of Bonifacio — Bunifaziu in Corsican — hosts its summer street sale. In this exceptional setting of the City of Cliffs, perched more than 60 meters above the Strait of Bonifacio with views of Sardinia, merchants from the town center and the marina are selling off their end-of-season stock and offering attractive discounts on their items.

Bonifacio, jewel of South Corsica

Bonifacio is undoubtedly one of the most photographed and most visited towns in Corsica. Its geographical location is unique: the Genoese citadel, founded in the 9th century and significantly developed in the 12th and 13th centuries, is built on a peninsula of white limestone, at the extreme south of Corsica.
