Grand Car Boot Sale of Fouqueure

The big August 15th event in northern Charente

The Grand Car Boot Sale of Fouqueure is a traditional event held every August 15th in this Charente village located between Angoulême and Ruffec. With over 300 exhibitors spread throughout the village streets, it is one of the largest car boot sales in Charente for the Assumption Day holiday.

All the village streets transformed into a market

On the day, Fouqueure transforms: every street, every small square hosts stalls where individuals and second-hand dealers offer furniture, crockery, trinkets, toys, clothes, books, and various items. The pitch costs 5 euros and it is possible to keep your vehicle next to your stand. Stalls are allocated as exhibitors arrive, and a large visitor parking area is available nearby.

A village in the heart of the Charente countryside

Fouqueure is a rural commune in the north of Charente, in the canton of Mansle. Surrounded by meadows and hills, the village offers an ideal rural setting for a summer bargain hunting day. The church square, the heart of the village, is the central point of the event.

Food and conviviality

A refreshment stand and a catering area are provided on-site by volunteers from the organizing committee. Admission is free for visitors, making this event a family-friendly gathering accessible to all.
