A flea market for street arts

Association Projecteur has produced the Font'arts festival since 1991, a major Provençal gathering of street arts that turns early August Pernes into a giant open stage: street theatre, circus, music, dance, installations. To fund its programme, Projecteur organises every May a flea market now one of the most attended in Comtat Venaissin.

A unique setting: the Nesque riverbed

The Nesque is dry most of the year. Its pebbled bed becomes, for one spring Sunday, a huge open-air market. Sellers set up between the stones and under the plane trees, extending onto Place Gabriel Moutte. A setting without equal.

Hundreds of exhibitors, festive mood

Open to private sellers. Bric-à-brac, clothing, books, crockery, toys, vinyl records, old tools, decoration, light furniture, costume jewellery. Atmosphere carried by the Font'arts spirit: ambient music, lively refreshment stand.

Where hunters meet artists

Projecteur often unveils elements of the August programme during the flea market.
