Flower fair, flea market and car boot sale — Bagnac-sur-Célé, May
Every May, Bagnac-sur-Célé celebrates spring with its traditional Flower Fair, accompanied by a large flea market and car boot sale. The Association des Commerçants et Artisans de Bagnac (ACAB) brings together 50 to 100 exhibitors on Avenue Joseph Canteloube and Place du Foirail. Plants, flowers, antique items, and local fouace pastries: a festive day in the heart of the Lot.
Every May, the commune of Bagnac-sur-Célé (46270), nestled in the Célé valley between Figeac and the Causses forest, celebrates the arrival of spring with one of its most anticipated events: the Flower Fair, Flea Market, and Car Boot Sale. Organized by the Association des Commerçants et Artisans de Bagnac (ACAB), this event marks the beginning of the summer season for residents and visitors to this beautiful Lot valley.
The unique aspect of this event lies in its dual nature. On one hand, producers and nursery owners offer a wide selection of vegetable plants, annual and perennial flowers, herbs, and ornamental plants – everything you need to adorn gardens, terraces, and balconies as the warmer weather approaches. On the other hand, flea market vendors and individuals display their second-hand items, furniture, tableware, books, clothing, and curiosities of all kinds.
The event takes place on Avenue Joseph Canteloube and Place du Foirail, which transform into a colorful market for the day. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors – depending on the year – liven up this vast space. Treasure hunters and lovers of beautiful plants mingle in a festive and relaxed atmosphere, characteristic of Quercy village fairs.
The Bagnac-sur-Célé Flower Fair doesn't just offer plants and items: it celebrates the flavors of the Lot region with the sale of fouaces and pompes, traditional Quercy brioche breads that are a delight at local festivals. Food and drinks are also available on-site to accompany this pleasant day of strolling.
Bagnac-sur-Célé is a charming commune in the northeast of the Lot, crossed by the Célé river, a tributary of the Lot, set amidst limestone cliffs and forests. The village is an ideal starting point for exploring the Célé valley and its treasures (prehistoric caves, hilltop villages, hiking trails). The May fair is the perfect opportunity to visit this still-preserved territory.
The Foire aux Fleurs, Brocante et Vide-Grenier of Bagnac-sur-Célé is held every May, on a Sunday, from 8 am to 7 pm. Entry is free for visitors. Pitches are available for exhibitors (professionals and individuals). Food, drinks, and local product sales on-site. Parking nearby.
The Foire aux Fleurs, Brocante et Vide-Grenier of Bagnac-sur-Célé returns in May 2026. Plants, flowers, flea market, and car boot sale at the Foirail, 50 to 100 exhibitors. Organized by ACAB, free entry.
