Gentilly's Foire au Troc – A Cherished Community Tradition
Each year in early May, Place Henri Barbusse in Gentilly becomes the scene of a vibrant open-air market. The Foire au Troc is organised by the city's Youth and Neighbourhood Life Department and brings together over 300 private vendors selling clothing, toys, books, kitchenware, small appliances and all manner of everyday objects at freely negotiated prices. It's a genuine community event rooted in the spirit of exchange and sustainability.

The event is exclusively for private individuals, ensuring an authentic, non-commercial atmosphere. Visitors browse freely from stall to stall, discover unexpected treasures and enjoy the festive spirit of the day. Food and drinks are available on site.
Getting There
Place Henri Barbusse is conveniently accessible from Paris via Metro line 7 (Gentilly or Kremlin-Bicêtre stations). Buses 47, 57 and 185 also serve the area.

The Foire au Troc de Gentilly returns on Sunday 3 May 2026, at Place Henri Barbusse. Over 300 spaces for private vendors available from 9am to 6pm. Registrations open online on the City of Gentilly website. Free admission, food and drinks on site.
