Every July 14th, the town of Montreuil-l'Argillé celebrates National Day by organizing its annual foire à tout, one of the most convivial events in the Pays d'Ouche. Montreuil-l'Argillé is a town in the Pays d'Ouche located in the Charentonne valley, a tributary of the Risle. This area in the south of Eure, on the borders of Normandy and Perche, is characterized by its dense hedgerows, oak forests, and villages with half-timbered houses. Montreuil-l'Argillé, with its church and lively town center, is the capital of an authentic rural canton.
The Foire à tout of July 14th brings together private sellers offering crockery, furniture, clothing, toys, books, and various objects. The festive atmosphere of National Day animates the village, with refreshments and food for visitors. Free entry for bargain hunters.
From Bernay (27300), take the D438 south-west towards Montreuil-l'Argillé (approx. 20 km). From L'Aigle (61300), take the D930 north to Gacé, then join Montreuil-l'Argillé.
