Annual car boot sale in the Norman village of Le Bois-Hellain, Roumois, Eure
Each July, the village of Le Bois-Hellain hosts its annual Foire à tout in this area of the Roumois, a Norman agricultural plateau in the Eure region situated between the Risle and Seine rivers. Residents of the village and surrounding towns unpack their treasures to offer visitors a selection of items at very accessible prices. The event is part of the tradition of rural car boot sales in the Norman Eure.
Le Bois-Hellain is a village in the Eure department located in the Roumois region, between Pont-Audemer to the west and the lower Seine valley to the north. This Norman territory with its open fields and hamlets scattered among the hedgerows possesses a strong rural identity. The villages of the Roumois are often overlooked by tourist routes, which gives them an authentic charm particularly appreciated during local car boot sales.
The Foire à tout du Bois-Hellain brings together private sellers offering crockery, furniture, clothing, toys, books, and various trinkets. In this small village in the Eure, the atmosphere is warm and the prices are often very modest. Free entry for visitors.
From Pont-Audemer (27500), take the D89 towards Bourneville, then join Le Bois-Hellain. From Rouen, take the A13 towards Caen, exit at Bourneville.
