A historic flea market in the Chapelain town center

Every first Sunday of June, the town center of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre transforms into a vast open-air car boot sale for its big flea market. Organized by the Union des Associations de La Chapelle-sur-Erdre (UACE), this event is one of the most important of its kind in the Nantes metropolitan area, with approximately 250 exhibitors spread around the church square and in the adjacent streets.

Reserved for individuals

The great originality of this Chapelain flea market is its strict rule: individuals only. No professionals or antique dealers are admitted as exhibitors; food and plant vendors are also excluded. This rule, rigorously applied by the UACE, guarantees the authenticity of the event and the diversity of items offered. You can find real attic treasures: family furniture, antique crockery, vintage clothes, toys, household appliances, books, vinyl records, and a thousand other collector's items that tell personal stories.

An exceptional browsing route

With approximately 250 exhibitors scattered throughout the town center, the flea market offers a browsing itinerary that can easily extend over several hours. Visitors wander from street to street, from square to square, discovering unexpected items around every corner. The natural setting of the old buildings in the Chapelain town center and the conviviality of the animating associations add charm to the stroll. Food, refreshment stand, and entertainment on site.

Exhibitor rates and registration

Individuals wishing to exhibit reserve their pitch at a rate of 20€ for 5 linear meters. Registrations take place during a permanent session at the Maison de la Solidarité et de l'Emploi (3 rue Martin Luther King), then exclusively by email to the UACE ([email protected]) or by phone at 02 51 81 87 10. As demand is high given the event's reputation, it is advisable to register as early as possible. Vehicle parking on pitches is prohibited (peripheral car parks available).
