The village of Épieds, located in the Eure plain between Évreux and Dreux, hosts its annual fair every spring. This event brings together private exhibitors who unpack the contents of their attics and cellars, offering visitors a wide variety of second-hand items: furniture, dishes, clothing, books, toys, tools, and all sorts of trinkets.

Épieds is an agricultural village in the Eure department, nestled in the vast cereal plain that stretches between Évreux and Dreux. This land of large-scale crops—wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet—offers wide, bright horizons, punctuated by copses and hamlets with houses made of flint and limestone. The Eure plain, sometimes called the "Norman Beauce," presents a contrasting landscape to the hedgerow country of the western part of the department.
