About Hamelet Flea Market

The Hamelet Foire à Tout is a spring bargain hunting rendezvous organized in this small Val de Somme village, near Corbie and about fifteen kilometres east of Amiens. Mixing private sellers and some professionals, this typically Picardy event gathers hunters around varied stalls offering everything: tableware, books, toys, furniture, tools and everyday items. A friendly family-sized event.

The Foire à Tout: a true Picardy tradition

The "foire à tout" is, along with the "réderie", the local term for a vide-grenier or flea market. Typical of Northern France, the term expresses the very nature of the event: you really find everything there. In Hamelet, this tradition is perpetuated every spring with an event that is part of the local associative landscape.

Hamelet, a Val de Somme village

Hamelet is a small commune of around 300 inhabitants nestled in the Val de Somme, a few kilometres from Corbie and Amiens. The village is crossed by the Somme valley, a territory marked by 20th century military history, particularly the battles of the Great War.

A bargain hunting day in the heart of the village

The Hamelet Foire à Tout takes its quarters in the village streets, around the main square. Exhibitors, mostly private from the village, set up their stalls from early morning. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly.

What you will find

True to its name, the foire à tout offers a great diversity of goods: clothes, household linen, tableware, books and comics, toys, small furniture, tools, trinkets, old postcards, vinyls, and all sorts of unusual items.

Extend the day in the Somme valley

After the morning dedicated to bargain hunting, visitors can extend their stay in the valley. Corbie and its abbey, Villers-Bretonneux with its Australian memorial, Albert and the Notre-Dame de Brebières basilica are among the points of interest accessible in just a few minutes.
