The Vaujours Red Cross Flea Market: Half a Century of Solidarity and Bargain-Hunting

For nearly five decades, the French Red Cross – Ourcq local branch has organised its grand flea market each autumn in Vaujours. This popular, solidarity-driven event takes place in the Fénelon school courtyard and on avenue de l'Europe, transformed for the occasion into a vast open-air market welcoming 200 to 300 sellers.

A Reference Event in the Seine-Saint-Denis Flea Market Calendar

The Vaujours Red Cross Flea Market is one of the longest-running flea market traditions in Seine-Saint-Denis. Its 50th anniversary in 2026 is a major symbolic milestone. The event attracts bargain hunters and collectors from across Île-de-France, drawn by the diversity of offerings: clothing, toys, furniture, crockery, knick-knacks, books, vinyl records, household appliances and all manner of objects, offered exclusively by private sellers.

A Flea Market for a Humanitarian Cause

The proceeds from the flea market are entirely donated to the Ourcq local branch of the French Red Cross, helping to fund its social and humanitarian activities in Vaujours and surrounding municipalities. Coming to browse at this flea market also means supporting an association committed to helping the most vulnerable.

Organisation and Atmosphere

The event begins as early as 6:30am for sellers and continues until 5:30pm. Two refreshment stands are set up on site, along with a chips stand from 11am to 3pm. Toilets are available in the school courtyard. Seller registration takes place at the local branch at 249 rue de Meaux, during the two weeks before the event.
