The Foire à la Brocante de Bazas: treasure hunting under the arcades

Every summer in July, the Place de la Cathédrale in Bazas transforms into a vast flea market and antique fair. Numerous flea market dealers and antique dealers set up under the magnificent arcades that line this monumental square, a listed heritage site. The town hall hall also hosts exhibitors. Visitors can find collector's items, decorative objects, antique furniture, tableware, lighting, and curiosities in an exceptional architectural setting.

Bazas, medieval city in the South Gironde

Bazas is a characterful city of about 5,000 inhabitants, a historic sub-prefecture of Gironde, famous for its Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route. The Place de la Cathédrale, lined with arcaded houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, is one of the most beautiful squares in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The city is also renowned for its Bazas beef, an exceptional local cattle breed.
