Annual car boot sale in the village of Batilly in Meurthe-et-Moselle
Every year in June, the village of Batilly hosts its Foiratout, a car boot sale that attracts bargain hunters and collectors from the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle. Located in the Pays de Briey, near Jarny and Conflans-en-Jarnisy, this rural commune transforms for a day into a large open-air market where you can find all sorts of objects.
The Foiratout de Batilly welcomes private sellers offering the contents of their attics and cellars: furniture, tableware, toys, clothes, tools, books, and collectibles are displayed on stalls. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, conducive to exchanges and negotiations between sellers and buyers. Children and adults alike find something to their liking among the diversity of items offered.
Batilly, a small commune located between Metz and Verdun, offers a peaceful setting for this flea market day. Visitors can enjoy the charm of this Lorraine village while browsing the outdoor stalls. A refreshment stand and light catering are usually available to allow bargain hunters to eat throughout the day.
