Fleurat Plant Fair and Car Boot Sale

An unmissable plant fair at the gates of Guéret

Every April, the streets of the village of Fleurat transform into a vast open-air market combining a plant fair and a car boot sale. Organized by the association Fleur de Lire, this event brings together around 80 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, along Rue Marouzeau and the adjacent streets. From 8 am to 5 pm, visitors stroll between the plant stalls and the flea market stands in a friendly spring atmosphere.

The plant fair: the gardeners' meeting place

The plant fair is the heart of this event. Local nursery owners and producers offer a wide range of plants: vegetable and herb seedlings, annual and perennial flowers, shrubs, seedlings, and seeds. Amateur and experienced gardeners will find everything they need to prepare for the beautiful season, with personalized advice from passionate professionals. It's also an opportunity to discover old and local varieties adapted to the climate of the Millevaches plateau.

The car boot sale: bargain hunting in the countryside

The car boot sale complements this day with a flea market aspect that attracts bargain hunters from the surrounding area. Furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, toys, and collectible items are displayed along the village streets, offering visitors a varied and surprising treasure hunt. The exhibitor fee of 1.20 euros per linear meter encourages the participation of a large number of occasional sellers.

Fleurat is a rural commune in the Creuse region located a few kilometers from Guéret, the prefecture of the department. This peaceful village, surrounded by meadows and woods, benefits from a preserved natural setting typical of the Marche limousine.
