The Perche Collections Fair, an event for all collectors

Every fourth Sunday of April, the Salle Pierre-Mendès-France in Nogent-le-Rotrou hosts the Foire aux collections, organized by the Société Philatélique du Perche. In 2025, the event reached its 39th edition, demonstrating remarkable longevity and a strong presence in the cultural life of the Perche region.

Stamps, postcards, and all collections

Philately is the historical heart of the fair: stamps from all eras and countries, postal stationery, special postmarks, and thematic collections are displayed on numerous stands run by professionals and private collectors. But the Nogent Collections Fair goes far beyond this initial scope to also welcome old postcards, coins and banknotes, medals and badges, matchboxes, champagne caps, and many other collecting specialties.

This eclecticism is a strength: visitors who are not philatelists always find something to get excited about, and the fair serves as a meeting place for collectors of different disciplines, allowing for exchanges, sales, and cross-disciplinary discoveries.

An event organized by the Société Philatélique du Perche

The Société Philatélique du Perche is a local association active for several decades, which brings together philately enthusiasts from the Nogent area. By organizing this fair every year, it contributes to the transmission of the passion for stamps and collecting to younger generations, while offering experienced collectors an opportunity to enrich or complete their collections.

Admission is completely free, which encourages discovery and initiation. The Salle Pierre-Mendès-France, on Avenue Camille Gaté, is an accessible venue well-known to the residents of Nogent.

Nogent-le-Rotrou is a town in the Perche region with a strong associative culture. The tradition of collectors' fairs is well represented here, with several annual events covering philately, numismatics, vinyl records, and flea markets.
