Every second Sunday of April, the Pâty district in Nogent-le-Rotrou transforms into a large flea market. The Brocante du Pâty, organized by the association Vie et Animation au Pâty, is one of the oldest and most popular flea market events in Perche eurélien. With some 23 editions recorded, it is a trusted event for bargain hunters from the department and neighboring regions.

A lively district, between 200 and 300 exhibitors

The flea market takes over rue Bourg-le-Comte and the adjacent streets of the Pâty residential area. Between 200 and 300 exhibitors—private individuals and professionals alike—set up from 6 a.m. to offer antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, clothing, and all sorts of curiosities. The density of stalls makes it a serious hunt, where patient amateurs regularly find valuable pieces.

Strict regulations guarantee the quality of the offer: no food items or new products are accepted; only second-hand items and collectibles are allowed. This rule, applied since the first editions, distinguishes the Brocante du Pâty from simple car boot sales and gives it a resolutely flea market character.

Exhibitor reception and practical organization

Exhibitor setup begins at 5 a.m. No reservation is necessary: registration and payment are made on site, at a rate of €2 per linear meter. The association offers coffee to exhibitors upon arrival, a gesture that reflects the warm spirit of the event. Professionals and people with reduced mobility are granted an exemption to keep their vehicles on rue de la Jambette.

Visitors are welcomed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free entry. Catering and a refreshment stand are available on site, as well as toilets, making the day comfortable for everyone.

The Pâty district and its Nogentais heritage

Nogent-le-Rotrou is the sub-prefecture of Eure-et-Loir, the gateway to Perche, nestled in the Huisne valley. The Pâty district, on the outskirts of the historic center, owes its name to the old designation for communal pastures. The town boasts beautiful medieval heritage, notably the Château des Comtes du Perche (now a museum) and the Collégiale Notre-Dame, which visitors to the flea market can discover during their stay.
