Sainte-Gemme is a small commune in the Indre department, located in the northeastern part of the region, on the border of the Cher department. The village is situated in a transitional landscape between the Champagne berrichonne and the first hills of the Boischaut Nord. The commune is crossed by small tributaries of the Cher and retains typically Berrichon built heritage. The area is appreciated for its tranquility and preserved rural landscapes, between large-scale farming and hedgerow country.
With its 26 editions, the Sainte-Gemme flea market is an event that bargain hunters in Berry do not miss. Food is available on-site, provided by volunteers. Admission is free.
The 26th Sainte-Gemme flea market returns on April 19, 2026.
