With nearly 200 exhibitors spread across the village streets, the La Courtine Car Boot Sale & Flea Market stands out as one of the most significant antique hunting events in the Creuse department. Organized for over thirty years by the association Les Amis de la Brocante, this day attracts thousands of visitors looking for furniture, tableware, old tools, toys, books, clothing, and collectible items.

La Courtine, a military town on the Millevaches plateau

La Courtine is a historic commune on the Millevaches plateau, known for its military camp founded in 1901, one of the largest in France. Located at an altitude of 780 meters, on the border of Creuse and Corrèze, the commune offers an exceptional natural setting between heathlands, forests, and peat bogs. The village retains interesting architectural heritage with its church, granite houses, and picturesque streets that serve as a backdrop for the flea market.

200 exhibitors indoors and outdoors

The event takes place in Rue de l'Église and the surrounding streets, as well as in covered areas that accommodate exhibitors regardless of the weather. Individuals and professionals offer a varied assortment ranging from regional furniture to trinkets, as well as old tools, tableware, books, and toys. Exhibitors set up from 5 am, and the event is open to the public from 6 am to 6 pm.

Les Amis de la Brocante, over 30 years of commitment

The association Les Amis de la Brocante has been organizing this event with passion and rigor for over three decades. The 32nd edition in 2025 testifies to the longevity and success of this event, which contributes to the influence of La Courtine and the summer vibrancy of the Millevaches plateau. Volunteers ensure the welcome of exhibitors, the management of pitches, and the organization of on-site catering.
