The Sou des Écoles de Tossiat, a dynamic association dedicated to financing the village's school activities, organizes a large flea market every year that brings together the local community and bargain hunters from the surrounding area. This open-air car boot sale is held at the Tossiat stadium, in a rural setting ideal for a Sunday stroll.

A car boot sale reserved for individuals

The Tossiat flea market is exclusively reserved for private sellers, thus guaranteeing the authenticity and diversity of the items offered. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors unpack their treasures on the stadium grass: adult and children's clothing, toys, books, crockery, garden tools, trinkets, and flea market items. The pitch fee is set at 3 euros per linear meter, accessible to all budgets.

A welcoming Bressan village

Tossiat, a peaceful commune in the Bresse region located a few kilometers from Bourg-en-Bresse, offers a green and preserved setting. The municipal stadium, easily accessible from the route de Journans, has a large free car park. Volunteers from the Sou des Écoles welcome visitors from 7 am with a free coffee for exhibitors, in a friendly atmosphere typical of rural events in the Ain department.

A village at the heart of school life

The Sou des Écoles de Tossiat brings together parents, students, and residents around a common goal: to enrich the schooling of the village's children. The profits from the flea market finance school trips, cultural outings, educational materials, and school parties. This collective mobilization gives the flea market a warm and supportive dimension that visitors feel as soon as they arrive on site.

Practical Information

Admission is free for visitors. Exhibitors are welcomed from 5 am for setup and receive a free coffee. Please note: in case of rain, the event may be canceled, with updates communicated via the association's Facebook page. The refreshment stand and light catering are provided throughout the day by volunteer parents, who offer sandwiches, crepes, and various drinks.
