Every late spring, the École du Vast in Jouy-le-Moutier opens its playground for a friendly community flea market. Private sellers from the school community and surrounding neighbourhood set up stalls offering children's clothing, toys, books and everyday items. Free entry, relaxed family atmosphere, in the southern part of the Cergy-Pontoise conurbation.
École du Vast Flea Market, a Jouy-le-Moutier Tradition
Jouy-le-Moutier is one of the southernmost communes in the Cergy-Pontoise new town, nestled between the wooded slopes of the Hautil plateau and the Oise plain. The École du Vast is a well-established local school that each spring opens its doors for a beloved community flea market.
Private sellers — parents, local residents and amateur brocanteurs — set up stalls offering children's and adult clothing, toys, books, board games, sports equipment, small furniture and decorative items. The warm, family atmosphere sets this event apart from larger, anonymous markets. Children are very welcome, and there are always great finds for them.
The event is held at 2 rue du Four à Chaux, easily accessible from all parts of Jouy-le-Moutier. Free admission for visitors.
