Nearly 200 exhibitors in the land of exceptional butter
The Echire car boot sale is one of the largest in the Niort area with 198 exhibitors spread along Rue Leo Desaivre and Chemin de la Couture. This commune, famous for its exceptional butter, hosts every first Sunday of May a popular family event attracting thousands of visitors who come to browse in a friendly atmosphere. Clothing, toys, furniture, crockery, and all manner of items are traded at gentle prices.
With 198 confirmed exhibitors, the Echire car boot sale stands as one of the most important dates in the Deux-Sevres flea market calendar. Echire is world-renowned for its PDO butter, made using traditional methods at the cooperative dairy. This Deux-Sevres village also boasts remarkable architectural heritage with its Coudray-Salbart castle, a 13th-century medieval fortress considered one of the best-preserved in France.
