All-collections fair at the Chelles Cultural Center, Place des Martyrs de Chateaubriant
The Chelles Collectors Fair is an annual event dedicated to collectors of all kinds, organized at the municipality's Cultural Center. At Place des Martyrs de Chateaubriant, private and professional exhibitors offer stamps, coins, postcards, champagne capsules, epiphany figurines, old papers, militaria, and many other themes. In a covered setting conducive to exchanges, this fair brings together seasoned collectors and curious visitors in one of the main cities of Seine-et-Marne.
Every year in spring, the Chelles Cultural Center hosts its Collectors Fair, a specialized event that brings together collectors and exhibitors from throughout Γle-de-France. The 2026 edition will be held on Sunday, April 19 at the Cultural Center located at Place des Martyrs de Chateaubriant, from 9am to 4:30pm. Admission is free for visitors.
Unlike flea markets and garage sales, a collectors fair is specifically aimed at enthusiasts of collectible items. The exhibitors are experienced collectors, members of specialized associations, and a few professionals who offer sorted, classified, and often rare pieces. You'll find the great classics of French collecting: stamps (philately), ancient and modern coins (numismatics), old postcards (cartophily), epiphany cake figurines, champagne capsules and wire hoods, old papers, labels, military items, antique toys, Starlux and other figurines, rare vinyl records.
The Chelles Cultural Center offers an ideal setting for this type of event: covered space protected from weather, appropriate lighting to examine pieces, fluid circulation between tables, quiet atmosphere conducive to technical exchanges between connoisseurs. With fewer than 50 exhibitors announced, the fair retains a human scale that allows visitors to take their time at each stand.
Beyond the commercial aspect, a collectors fair is a place of exchange and meetings between enthusiasts. Collectors share their discoveries, knowledge, and good addresses. Beginners find wise advice to properly start their collection, understand quality criteria, and learn to evaluate pieces.
Chelles is one of the largest cities in Seine-et-Marne with nearly 55,000 inhabitants. Located in the northwest of the department, at the gates of Paris, it is easily accessible by the RER E, Transilien, and the motorway. Its Cultural Center is an important facility that hosts many cultural, associative, and social events throughout the year.
