Great flea market on Easter Monday in Chabrillan, ~115 exhibitors in the Drôme des Collines
Every Easter Monday, Chabrillan transforms into the capital of Drôme flea markets. The Chabricabrac, whose playful name combines the village's name and the word "bric-à-brac" (odds and ends), has become over the years one of the most anticipated outdoor events in the Drôme department. With its approximately 115 exhibitors, it marks the beginning of the flea market season in the Drôme valley.
Chabrillan is a commune of about 1,500 inhabitants located in the Drôme des Collines (26400), on the left bank of the Drôme river, halfway between Crest and Montélimar. This agricultural village surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and lavender fields benefits from a pleasant natural setting. Its town center, with its shaded squares and lively streets during fairs, hosts the Chabricabrac in an atmosphere of village celebration.
The Chabricabrac brings together around 115 exhibitors each Easter, local individuals clearing out their attics after winter and amateur flea market sellers who sometimes come from afar. The day starts early: the most motivated bargain hunters arrive at dawn to not miss the best deals. You can find furniture, tableware, clothing, books, toys, tools, and various objects in a joyful spring jumble. The festive atmosphere, typical of family Easter Mondays, gives the Chabricabrac its special flavor.
The Chabricabrac is held every Easter Monday in Chabrillan (26400), accessible from Crest (10 km) or Montélimar (20 km) via the D93. Information from the Chabrillan town hall or the organizing lay association.
