The annual bargain hunt in the heart of a Vimeu village
The annual Cerisy-Buleux vide-grenier takes place in the village centre, transforming the main streets and square into a vast open-air bargain-hunting route. This configuration, typical of rural Somme flea markets, promotes visitor circulation between stalls.
Cerisy-Buleux is a small commune of around 350 inhabitants resulting from the merger of two former villages, located in the Vimeu, this natural region of south-western Somme known for its industrial tradition and rolling landscapes.
As in most village vide-greniers, the offering at Cerisy-Buleux reflects the daily life of the inhabitants: family crockery, household linen, clothes, toys, books, trinkets, small furniture, tools.
The organisation of the Cerisy-Buleux vide-grenier relies on the commitment of volunteers from the local association. Proceeds are often destined to finance village activities.
The Cerisy-Buleux vide-grenier can be combined with the discovery of the Vimeu, a discreet but endearing territory. The locksmithing and tap-making museums at Friville-Escarbotin bear witness to the rich industrial past.
