Annual car boot sale of the new commune of Val de Virvée, in the Cubzaguais region of Gironde
Every spring, the new commune of Val de Virvée (33240) organizes its annual car boot sale. Private sellers set up their stalls in the village center to offer a wide range of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. The event takes place in a relaxed village atmosphere, conducive to strolling and bargain hunting.
Val de Virvée is a new commune created in 2017 by the merger of Aubie-et-Espessas and Salignac. Located in the Cubzaguais region, about thirty kilometers north of Bordeaux, it takes its name from the Virvée, a tributary of the Dordogne that flows through its territory. The landscape consists of vineyard-covered hills, woods, and meadows, offering a preserved rural setting on the outskirts of the Bordeaux metropolitan area. The commune has about 2,500 inhabitants spread across several hamlets.
The Val de Virvée car boot sale is open to individuals wishing to clear out their attics and closets. Entry is free for visitors. Refreshments and food are usually available on site, allowing for a pleasant spring treasure hunt in the Gironde countryside.
From Bordeaux, take the N10 towards Paris, then the D137 towards Saint-André-de-Cubzac, then head towards Aubie-et-Espessas / Val de Virvée.
